To prevent the condition from worsening, we recommend that people with sensitive skin in particular check this.

I I suffered from atopic dermatitis caused by cosmetics , and I was suffering mentally and physically every day.

After that, I worked in product development at a major cosmetics company, and learned why my skin had become rough.

I'm confused by the surprising irritating and ineffective ingredients in organic and additive-free cosmetics out there...

The other day, I had the opportunity to visit Ureshino City in Saga Prefecture. Ureshino is, needless to say, one of Japan's leading tea-producing areas. I was looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery of the tea fields that spread across the gentle hills.

However, what I actually saw wasn't just beautiful, well-maintained tea fields. After driving a little further, I came across abandoned tea fields where tea trees had grown as tall as a person and were overgrown with weeds, quietly approaching the end of their life.

The same was true in Wazuka Town.

The contrast between the lush, vibrant tea fields and the desolate tea fields was more shocking than I had imagined.

Common challenges faced by Japan's tea-producing regions

______________________________________ ______________________________________ _____ _____

This problem of abandoned tea fields is by no means unique to Ureshino City. In fact, I recently witnessed a similar scene when I visited Wazuka Town in Kyoto Prefecture , also known as "Tea Genkyo."

Wazuka Town is located in southern Kyoto Prefecture and is a major tea-producing area, producing approximately 40% of Uji tea, a renowned high-quality tea. The scenery of tea fields stretching along the mountain slopes is breathtaking, and the town has even been registered as a "Kyoto Prefecture Landscape Asset." But even in this beautiful tea village, one of Japan's most famous, there are tea fields that are being abandoned, just like in Ureshino.

A lack of successors, falling tea prices, and the aging of producers. These issues are intertwined in a complex way, forcing farmers who have painstakingly cultivated tea to give up their fields. This silent crisis is a common issue faced by all tea-producing regions in Japan, and it made me keenly aware of it.

Tea has a certain blessing for the mind and body.

The catechins contained in tea are said to have excellent antioxidant properties. In addition, the umami component, theanine, is expected to have a relaxing effect on the mind and body. As the founder, I drink sencha or matcha every day, I take in catechin, caffeine, theanine, vitamins, and minerals . I also use tencha, the base of matcha, as a topping.

A cup of tea is a wonderful drink that brings peace and health to our mind and body. There are people all over the country who want to pass on this rich culture to the future.

this time, Our guide around Ureshino was Shintaro from neat coffee, who is trying to contribute in some way to solving the tea problem.

If you have a chance to visit Ureshino or its surrounding areas, please stop by and talk about tea.
